Why do we offer this Scholarship?

I swiped my debit card and it didn't work. I was surprised of course, so I tried it a few more times. Then I realized, I didn't have any money in my bank account. That was the first time that had ever happened to me. I had left my job at Microsoft to pursue my dreams. At Microsoft I was a fairly well-paid employee. The paycheck just showed up in my bank account every month. Money was just always there.

But this day, I was just trying to buy milk and eggs for my family. And I had to go home empty handed.

Now of course, I run a very successful Power BI Training/Consulting/Coaching business and enjoy a life of freedom. My goal is to help others pursue their dreams, but avoid the painful path that I took or the mistakes I made.

But I will never forget the day that I could not buy milk 🥛 or eggs 🥚 for my family.

That is why, we run our LearnPowerBI Scholarship program.

For people who have dreams, big dreams 💛, but perhaps do not have the financial resources right now to pursue those dreams.

Who is This Scholarship For?

We are looking for just a few simple things in our Scholarship candidates:

#1 You are passionately interested in Power BI*

#2 You are currently unable to afford the Learn Power BI Program fees

#3 You are looking to Apply Your Knowledge (not just learn)†

*Note: We neither look for nor require any specific level of Power BI skills. You may be an absolute beginner or may already have some Power BI experience.

† At LearnPowerBI, we believe that learning comes from doing. That is why we require our Scholarship candidates to not just watch the videos, but to actually build a Power BI Dashboard (you would have lots of help from us!).

You would be going through this experience with a small group of fellow Scholarship winners. We expect everyone to collaborate and support each other.

How to Apply?

This will be a very intimate program with hands on guidance from our Team. Therefore, we can only offer it to a very limited number of people.

But here’s my advice:

  • Don’t count yourself out! It’s easy to feel discouraged. But my advice is just apply.
    #1 You will miss 100% of the shots you do not take. So take this shot, for your own sake
    #2 You have a far better chance than you think, and here’s why…

  • Take your time to fill out the application. It may take 20-30 minutes ⏱ and please take that time. We are always surprised, whenever we see scholarship applications with one word responses to many questions?! So if you just take your time to provide good responses to the application, your chances of being selected become much higher!
